While the WNBA free agency is on, there have been some eye-catching developments in the past few days. As the franchises are looking to maximize their gains, the situation is turning out to be pretty interesting. For example, one of the most hyped teams, the Indiana Fever, still has a whole roster to fill.
Faced with some tricky decisions, the Fever front office will look to sort things out soon. Now, with all the limelight solely on Caitlin Clark, the team is looking eager to sign one of her teammates from the Team USA camp, Monique Billings.

Is Monique Billings Confirmed By The Indiana Fever?
Till now, the Indiana Fever have just five players on their roster. Initially, they had Aliyah Boston, Clark, and Makayla Timpson under contract. However, it was just recently that the Fever front office agreed to a 1-year, $1.4 million, supermax deal for Kelsey Mitchell.
Now, according to the latest updates from Forbes’ Roberta Rodrigues, Billings might be joining Stephanie White and co. despite holding a meeting with the New York Liberty.
“Monique Billings took a meeting with the New York Liberty but should sign with the Indiana Fever, I’m being told. #WNBAFreeAgency,” read Rodrigues’ X update.

This looks to be a wise decision from White and co. Although Billings had a moderate season last year, the former Golden State Valkyries’ star was quite impressive. She dropped averages of 7.3 points and 4.5 rebounds in her games. Additionally, her chemistry with Clark is also one of the main reasons for the Fever to sign her.
In her recent trip to the FIBA World Cup qualifiers, Billings teamed up with the Iowa-born. While she played all five games, the 29-year-old averaged 6.4 points and 3.2 rebounds in 13.4 minutes.
Well, as the Fever is looking to build a strong core, they recently extended another offer. This time to Lexie Hull.
Will Lexie Hull Sign For The Indiana Fever?

Hull had been a pivotal part of the Fever roster last season. After all, who can forget the manner in which she led the team with a double black eye? Recently, Chloe Peterson confirmed that the front office has offered her a qualifying contract for 2026.
“The Indiana Fever have, as expected, sent out a core qualifying offer to Kelsey Mitchell and restricted qualifying offer to Lexie Hull. It officially gives Mitchell a supermax in exchange for exclusive negotiating rights and makes Hull a restricted tree agent,” Peterson wrote on X (formerly Twitter).
