JuJu Watkins is already making a name for herself on the pro circuit with her gameplay. The star joined Azzi Fudd and 12 other players Unrivaled signed NIL deals with, putting huge faith in young talent. Sadly, the University of South Carolina is missing her at the moment due to her season-ending injury in the 2025 tournament. But they have another bright star on the roster: Jazzy Davidson.
While Watkins quickly took the freshman under her wing and was seen giving her sideline coaching during timeouts, the versatile player made a mark in the Big 10 conference with her flourishing all-around gameplay.
But even with her masterclass efforts, the star had to face disappointment on many occasions. The recent loss against Ohio State was one such instant.

Jazzy Davidson Taking Control Of Her Emotions
The 19-year-old star is one of the top prospects in the NCAAW and is showing improvement in every game. Against the number 10 seed Ohio State, the Trojan’s star scored 32 points with six rebounds and four assists. Though this was her career-high score, Jaloni Cambridge’s 33 points spoiled her night.
The player tried to hold off disappointment, but reporters caught her struggles. An interviewer asked, “Jazzy looks like you’re a little more right now. What are you just kind of feeling after that one? I just think that we’re all competitors and we all want to win, and…Sorry,” The player responded, “Yeah. I just Yeah. I mean, it’s just a hard loss, but it’s fine. We’ll learn from it.”

While she gave a very confident and positive answer to the loss, it was normal to see a 19-year-old get emotional after a hard tussle. The USC went down 88-83, dropping to 17-10 overall and 9-7 in the Big Ten.
There is one point to highlight: the injury she suffered two days ago, which makes her performance even more extraordinary.
Jazzy Davidson Shrugs Off Recent Injury Scare
The guard is an explosive player who never backs down from challenges, as evidenced by her performance so far. Against the Oregon state, she boldly came in Sabrina Ionescu’s signature shoes, showing her confidence on the floor.
And now she showed similar guts by coming onto the court despite an injury in the previous game. Davidson had to be carried into the locker room as USC beat Wisconsin 66-59. In that game too, the former Naismith player of the Year led the scoring with 24 points.

“Recovery is everything. We have a great trainer here, so just making sure that I go to recovery, I get the treatment that I need. Hydration has been huge for me this year, and just eating enough to maintain my weight, try to put more weight on,” Davidson said after the win.
Not only did she play, but she also dropped 32 points, proving her dedication to the game.
