Following an NCAA Championship win early in the 2025 calendar year and a historic season with Golden State Valkyries, Kaitlyn Chen is now looking to finish off the year in style as she is participating in the EuroLeague.
Chen takes the spotlight playing for the USK Praha, and even though she joined the team in the second week of October, the guard recently created history with her first-ever double-double and near triple-double performance.
Kaitlyn Chen Registers First Ever Double-Double
Playing for one of the most decorated franchises in the Czech Republic, the 23-year-old guard got a chance to sharpen her skill sets. The 18-time national champions added the rookie as backup for their veteran players as they look to defend their title.

Incidentally, the player could return early from the EuroLeague campaign following her commitment to the Athletes Unlimited Pro Basketball. The tournament will start on February 5, while the EuroLeague final is scheduled for April.
Kaitlyn Chen Reflects On Late Decision To Play In EuroLeague
The Valkyries star was on Azzi Fudd’s podcast – ‘Fudd Around and Find Out’, where she talked about her decision to join the EuroLeague, which was a sudden and spontaneous one for the former UConn player.
“It was actually really, really last-minute. My agent had brought it up, maybe a week before, and I didn’t really think anything of it, because he didn’t say anything else. Then, he brings it up again and is like, ‘I really think you should do this, and they want you to leave in three days,” Chen explained.
She even added that Chen’s mom traveled to Toronto (where the player was at the time) to drop off everything needed for the stay at the newest location. While the player not only adjusted in a short period of time, but also made history with her near triple-double performance, it was a really commendable outing.
