The Chicago Sky will be pushing for a playoff spot. With hopes of winning the championship, Sky’s season so far has been dismal. Till now, the team has lost 20 games. On the contrary, with just 7 victories, Angel Reese and co. are struggling at number 12 on the WNBA table. Now, adding to their worries further, Kamilla Cardoso had an injury scare that left the Sky fans concerned.
At the moment, Angel Reese looks to be still suffering from her back issue. Surely, with so many things to deal with, the Sky would not want any new injuries to bother them. Unfortunately, playing against the Golden State Valkyries, Cardoso heightened tensions as she grabbed one of her wrists mid-game.
Kamilla Cardoso Survives Injury Scare
It was yet another sad outing for the Chicago Sky. Facing off against the Valkyries, Sky succumbed to a 73-66 defeat. Interestingly, Angel Reese was once again not available for action. This was the third time Reese sat out of a WNBA game in her last four. However, trying to find some quality alternatives, Kamilla Cardoso emerged as a top performer. With both her shooting and playmaking abilities, Cardoso has become a mainstay for the team.
However, in the fourth quarter of the game, Cardoso suffered a brutal injury scare. The Brazilian star had a collision, after which, she hit the deck hard. Following the incident, Cardoso could be spotted clutching her wrist. She also looked to be in significant pain. Such a sight immediately sent shockwaves through the Sky camp. The fans too, looked utterly concerned as they could not stand the thought of yet another injury to a star player.

Thankfully, there is good news for the fans. Cardoso’s injury is not looking threatening at the moment. In fact, she shrugged off the injury and played through the entirety of the game. Cardoso dropped 14 points and 11 rebounds together with an assist to further prove her worth. Meanwhile, with things looking positive for Cardoso, she recently had a change of role by her coach.
