Caitlin Clark’s Absence Mounts Pressure On Indiana Fever
Though the former Iowa star played just 13 games this season, a hope of getting her back kept fans and players going on the court. The team stayed competitive without its star playmaker in the regular season, but facing top title contenders without her would be a significant task for them, especially in the playoffs.
Kelsey Mitchell, Natasha Howard and Aliyah Boston showed some consistency in their chase for the spot in the playoff, but the tired roster will now have to get back on the floor and compete in the toughest phase of the season without Caitlin Clark.
With just three games left in the regular season, the Fever has a 1.5-game advantage over the ninth-seed Los Angeles Sparks. They will face the Chicago Sky on September 5 to push for the postseason.
