The saga around the Chicago Sky continues. An unsettled locker room hampered their worst season, with Angel Reese once again at the center of the controversy. It started with her demands for an upgrade for the upcoming seasons, which many took the wrong way.
At least the 23-year-old mentioned that in the press conference, as Reese apologized to her teammates a day later. While many still target her for her comments, NFL champion LeSean McCoy supported her.

The first-time head coach tried his best to keep the season up and running, but his efforts fell flat on the court. There was unrest amongst the players after losing a number of games and falling out of the playoff qualification early in August.
But Reese dropped a truth bomb on her conditions for leaving the Chicago Sky. She demanded major upgrades to win titles. Her criticism of the team stole the spotlight rather than her intentions, and many criticized the forward for her statements.

Talking to the ‘Speakeasy’ podcast, NFL Star LeSean McCoy addressed the issue and defended the former LSU star. But he even highlighted the mistake the player did which caused the problem.
“I love what Angel’s doing on the court. She’s balling right now. Her running her mouth is matching her game. My thing with her is, if you feel like that, let your agent tell the team that. Why are you putting it out in the press? So your teammates can read it?” LeSean McCoy said.

“The Chicago Sky values the safety, respect, and well-being of every player. We are committed to accountability so our players can stay focused on playing basketball. This matter has been handled and resolved internally, and we are moving forward as a team,” the statement read.
