The Indiana Fever’s lead in the WNBA semifinal series quickly vanished as the Aces bounced back with a 22-point victory in Game 2. The series now moves to the Fever’s home turf, with the Gainbridge Fieldhouse Arena hosting the next two games. Forward Lexie Hull was a key member of Stephanie White’s team in both those games.
Even Hull powered the Indiana Fever to the WNBA semifinals with a win over the Atlanta Dream, and now has game plan to counter the second seed Aces.
Lexie Hull Highlights Key Strategy To Defeat Las Vegas Aces
Right from the opening round, the Indiana side was the underdog team, especially with five of its stars out for the season due to injuries. Even though they overcame the Atlanta challenge, the A’ja Wilson-led Aces are another difficult series for the 2012 champions.

The Fever, however, stole the game one with the help of Kelsey Mitchell’s explosive offense. Mitchell made WNBA scoring history in the win, but struggled in game 2, eventually falling to the Aces.
A WNBA analyst advised that ‘better use of Aliyah Boston’ would help the Fever win against the Aces, while Hull highlights “good defense” to advance to the finals.
“Play disciplined defense. I think it’s just gonna come down to us being really locked in and trying to limit their chances,” the former Stanford star said.

In the first game, the Indiana Fever restricted the Aces to 73 points with a defensive display around the post. They might look back at the game tapes to implement a similar strategy to finish off the series at home only.
Lexie Hull Questionable For Game 3 Against Las Vegas Aces
While the 26-year-old forward is talking about the defensive plays, her availability for Game 3 is still unclear. She practiced with the team but didn’t take part in run-arounds. As per the reports, the 2022 rookie is struggling with a back issue, as the Fever added her to the probable list.
As per HC Stephanie white, the forward injured her back in the first game against the Aces. The situation got worse with physicality in the game. Hull limited her practice and gave importance to her fitness in later games.
Even though she played in game 2, many concerns about her availability for the game at Gainbridge Fieldhouse arena. Hull has been a very active and critical member of the Fever defense, and her absence would impact their game plan against the Aces.
