The Indiana Fever did an excellent job against the Las Vegas Aces in the regular season games. They won two out of three games, and in the playoffs, A’ja Wilson showed her MVP form to win games for her team. But another unsung hero for Becky Hammon’s team was Jackie Young. While Stephani White put her best defender, Lexie Hull, on the explosive guard, she managed to score big.
With a clutch steal against the Atlanta Dream, Hull powered the Fever in the Semifinal, but she is finding it difficult to deal with Young. Stephanie White, though, has no choice but to use the Stanford player as the primary defender on the playmaker.
Lexie Hull’s Defense Will Define Game 4 Winner
The Las Vegas Aces heavily rely on A’ja Wilson’s offensive play. The league’s leading scorer kept her strong form in the playoffs to give her side an advantage over the opponents. She completed 100 points in six games played so far. But another player who matched Wilson’s explosive scoring is Young.

Although Wilson struggled in Game 3, Young stepped up to score a game-high 25 points. Odyssey Sims and Aerial Powers also tried stopping the 28-year-old guard. The four-time all-star is an experienced player, knowing the perfect opportunity to score and to make an assist.
As for the Fever’s top defender, Stephanie White praised Hull’s ‘Tough Kid’ mentality in Game 3. Hull excelled in the toughest situations, taking up a few knocks and holding her stand against top offensive players of the opposing team. Nevertheless, stopping Young is a daunting task.

While her defensive game lacked a bit, she made up for it with her offensive play. But to win against the Aces, the Fever must stop the 2023 champions under 80.

Aliyah Boston was instrumental in holding A’ja Wilson under 20 points in two of the three games in the playoffs. Wilson made up for dishing out a few passes on the perimeter to keep the scoreboard moving. This is where the 2022 rookie can impact the game.
Hull is an excellent defender for Stephanie White, who plays hard defense. She has the most personal fouls, 21, in the 2025 WNBA playoffs. But he made up for it by drawing 37 offensive fouls.
On the offensive end, she is averaging 10.5 points in the postseason and is the fourth-leading scorer for the Fever. She is shooting over 35% from three and has been clutch on many occasions.
