Stephanie White found herself at a loss when half of the Indiana Fever side retired to the bench with injuries. As their prime stars were missing, the road to the playoffs looked pretty much tough for White and co.
But in the end, the Fever pulled off quite a stunner as they ended up losing in the semifinals. Thankfully, for White, she got the services of Lexie Hull just in time. And despite the Fever not making it all the way, White praised Hull for her ‘tough kid’ mentality.
Surely, Hull had been one of the biggest X-factors for Indiana this year. Together with the likes of Aliyah Boston and Kelsey Mitchell, the 26-year-old held the fortress in the absence of big names like Caitlin Clark. Now, while things are already looking quite rosy, Hull has recently received an honor that further solidifies her status as a true superstar.
Lexie Hull Beams With Pride As She Receives Special Honor From Glamour Magazine
Hull addressed her struggle in maintaining peak performance while dealing with injuries. After all, she suffered some brutal blow to her face while donning Fever’s colors. The 26-year-old had a double black eye due to the severe impact on her face.

However, ignoring all these, the Fever star did not give up. Instead of resting, Hull continued to play with her iron will and guided her team to the playoffs.
Now, owing to her incredible contribution to the Indiana Fever this season, Glamour Magazine recently named her as the Woman Of The Year. Along with Hull, several of her fellow WNBA mates also received the award.

Soon, the internet was flooded with congratulatory messages from Hull’s fans. And while the 26-year-old will be on cloud nine after receiving such a prestigious honor, this was not the first time Hull’s impact has been acknowledged.
Caitlin Clark Makes Honest Confession About Lexie Hull
Hull posted an impressive 7.2 points, 4.3 rebounds, and 1.8 assists per game. However, beyond the numbers, her impact on the court earned her the reputation of being the team’s engine.
During the playoffs, Hull powered through a back injury and also clocked the highest minutes (33.5 minutes) for the side. Surely, looking at such a huge contribution, Clark could not resist giving Hull her flowers.

“Every team in this league should want a Lexi Hull-type of player on their team. That’s just never once has I have I seen her be disappointed in the amount she played. And I was here at the beginning of last year when she was getting DNPs and she’s the was the exact same person as she is right now as you know probably she turned into our third option offensively because you know we lost so many players but also like she embraced that and she worked for that,“ Clark said.
Well, now that Hull is in the limelight, she would want things to ascend from here on. As the new season approaches, the big question will be whether she can replicate this year’s performance.
