Lisa Leslie Reacts To Caitlin Clark’s Injury Update
Every Indiana Fever fan was praying for their 2024 rookie’s return, as the team was struggling to hold on to playoff qualification. But on August 4, the player shared a post updating the fans. She said that she would not play in the 2025 season.

“I had hoped to share a better update, but I will not be returning to play this season. I spent hours in the gym every day with the singular goal of getting back out there. Disappointed isn’t a big enough word to describe how I am feeling. I want to thank everyone who had my back through all the uncertainty. This has been incredibly frustrating, but even in the bad, there is good. The way the fans continued to show up for me, and for the Fever, brought me so much joy and an important perspective. I am so proud of how this team has only gotten stronger through adversity this year. Now it’s time to close out the season and claim our spot in the Playoffs,” Clark wrote on her social media account.
It was a hard pill to swallow for the Fever supporters, but considering her long-term health, the step to avoid any further injury was the right one. Former WNBA player Lisa Leslie also reacted to Clark’s post and showed love for the guard.
“So sorry but I know this decision will be the best for your future!” she commented on the post.
