The Toronto Tempo denied the reunion of the Sabally sisters, as the franchise chose Nyara Sabally in the expansion draft, while Satou Sabally moved to the New York Liberty in free agency. Although the Liberty side didn’t have their ‘sister duo for the 2026 season, the Tempo side might just field their sister pairing in the 2026 season.
According to reports, the Toronto Tempo signed Dara Mabrey to a training camp contract and might use her for the 2026 season. With Marina Mabrey already as its key player, the franchise just reunited the sisters.

With Sandy Brondello leading the side, the Toronto Tempo made many strategic decisions in its inaugural season. Adding some experienced stars in the expansion draft, the Tempo team chose versatile players in free agency and the WNBA draft, giving them depth and a strong roster for the 2026 season.
One such decision was to add Dara Marbery, who last played alongside her sister Marina at the high school level and won the New Jersey Tournament of Champions. The former Notre Dame star played internationally after going undrafted in the WNBA draft.
