The WNBA is booming at the moment. With the All-Star game recently concluding, there was a significant surge of interest among the fans. And standing at the helm of all the limelight is Napheesa Collier. It was her heroics that propelled Team Collier to a 151-131 victory over Team Clark. Surely, the Minnesota Lynx’s star has a lot of reasons to be elated at the moment.
But the WNBA All-Star game is not the only reason for Collier to be excited. In a recent update, some interesting facts about ’Unrivaled’ have come up. And that was enough for Collier to drop a bold and resilient message on social media.
Naphessa Collier Overjoyed With Latest Unrivaled Update
Alongside the WNBA, another women’s basketball league has been getting the limelight lately. Founded by none other than Collier and Breanna Stewart, ‘Unrivaled’ aims to provide a better exposure and overall basketball growth for the young talents. And much to the delight of Collier, women from ‘Unrivaled’ were found making merry.
According to an update from the official social media handle of the league, more than a third of the ‘Unrivaled’ athletes are having the best scoring year. And that was not all. The stats also showed that 35% of the players have registered a career best in terms of points per game. And Collier leads the chart with an average of 23.2 points, 7.6 rebounds, and 3.3 assists.
Looking at such a pleasant update, Collier retweeted the post and wrote, “Period.”

Alex Bazzell Shrugs Off Conflict Of Interest Claims
Napheesa Collier is heavily involved with the recently launched 3×3 league along with the WNBA. On the contrary, she is also a board member in the WNBA players’ association wing, the WNBPA. Thus, there have been numerous instances where Collier has been accused of having a conflict of interest. But as per her husband, Alex Bazzell, no such issue exists.

“Unrivaled’s ownership group has never looked at the league as a ‘competitive tool’ against the WNBA. There’s so many positives from us both being in existence. I tell people all the time: The WNBA continuing to grow and thrive helps our league. … I’m hopeful they come to a CBA agreement,” Bazzell said. (via Front Office Sports)
Thus, with things looking upbeat, it now remains to be seen what happens next.
