The Indiana Fever side team had a massive task overcoming the league leaders, the Minnesota Lynx, to win their first Commissioner’s Cup title. With Caitlin Clark out of the competition due to injury, her Fever teammates needed to make extra efforts. Understanding the role, the Natasha Howard-led side recorded a 74-59 win to lift the title.
It was a thumping win, especially considering both sides’ current records. The Indiana Fever team is just hanging on to the playoff spot, while the Lynx sit comfortably at the top with a 14-2 record. Obviously, the Indiana title attracted praise from the Indiana Pacers, and their star player shared a post congratulating the team.
Tyrese Haliburton Celebrates Indiana Fever’s Commissioner’s Cup Win
Indiana basketball teams share a great bond with the Fever team members attending Pacers games, and the Pacers also show their support for the Indiana Fever games. During the Pacers’ recent run till Game 7 of the NBA Finals, the Indiana Fever players were in attendance at the Gainbridge Arena. Ironically, the Pacers lost just one game with Caitlin in the stands.
Now that the Fever side is crowned champions, Indiana Pacers’ guard and superstar Tyrese Haliburton shared a post ‘LFG’. While Tom Brady originally used the line, it fits perfectly for the Indiana Fever team’s current victory.

The team, which showed much promise with high-profile signings, struggled in the league. But their Commissioner’s Cup run was impressive. Especially wins over last season’s finalists – the Lynx and Liberty side- will be morale-boosting for the players and fans. And that’s how the ‘LFG’ feeling fits right in.

The Pacers also showed great character throughout their NBA Finals run. They were underdogs in most of the series and recorded multiple ‘comeback wins’ to reach the finals. Even in the NBA Finals, they stretched the season’s best side to game 7, showing great resilience and spirit. Haliburton’s injury might have affected the title decider, but the side won many hearts with their gameplay.
Caitlin Clark, Aliyah Boston, and Sophie Cunningham React After Championship
Back to the Fever team, though. The players were excited about the win and celebrated by opening bottles of champagne in the locker room. Caitlin Clark was not left behind and showed no sign of ‘injury’ in celebrations. She later shared a post congratulating her teammates on the title. She wrote. “My Girls did their thing!!!!! So Proud!! Lfggggggg” with heart emojis.
Aliyah Boston also posted her excitement with the “BOW BOW BOW, Dubskiii” post. The star forward scored 12 points and collected 11 rebounds in the game.
