Paige Bueckers surprised everybody recently when she returned to her alma mater for the title-ring ceremony of the UConn Huskies.
The event was emotional as it had their historic season on full display. However, during the celebration, Bueckers dropped a light-hearted comment that instantly caught attention.

However, the visit felt less like a fleeting appearance and more like a homecoming, and underlining that, even now as a professional with the Dallas Wings, Bueckers’ connection to her college roots remains strong.
Will Azzi Fudd Join Paige Bueckers At Dallas Wings?
With the upcoming 2026 WNBA draft, there’s growing buzz around the possibility of reunifying former UConn teammates Bueckers and Fudd in Dallas.
The Dallas Wings just secured the No. 1 pick for the second straight year, and there was a whole lot of anticipation on who they might select.
Interestingly, Fudd has consistently been highlighted as a strong candidate for that top pick. And Draft analysts pointed to her ability to stretch the floor and give the Wings much-needed backcourt firepower.
If Dallas picks Fudd, pairing her with Bueckers could bring back their college chemistry and give the team a dynamic guard duo.
