After the abysmal season, the Dallas Wings are looking to make changes in the entire squad, including the back-office staff. As rumors suggest, Sandy Brondello is the top candidate for the Wings’ head coach position, with Paige Bueckers as the centerpiece of the development.
The player at the moment is making the most of the offseason, working on her skills and also attending games outside basketball. She was at the Cotton Bowl Stadium for the Texas Longhorns vs. the Oklahoma Sooners football game.

At the start of the season, the UConn star clicked a few photos in traditional Texas attire and slowly grew to love Texas. Praising the food, people, and fans, PB even made some appearances for the sports teams in the area.

Recently, the 22-year-old star showed her support for the region’s top college football team, the Texas Longhorns, and the game was also a high-profile one with their traditional rivals, the Oklahoma Sooners, at the opposite end. Aware of college rivalries and stakes in such games, the former UConn star cheered for the Texas side with 92,000 fans.

During the broadcast, she joined in on the excitement by flashing the Longhorns’ “Horns Up” gesture, showing support for the local crowd. The team also had a great outing with a 23-6 win over the rivals. This was the Longhorns’ fourth win while the Sooners’ first loss of the season.

Paige Bueckers Earns Spot In All-WNBA Second Team
The Dallas Wings’ season’s pick of the highlights was PB’s performance, with a few others making a notable impact on the games. Bueckers won the Rookie of the Year award nearly unanimously, but her outstanding season not only overshadowed the 2025 rookie class but also got her named in the All-WNBA Second Team, eclipsing some of the league’s veteran stars.
Jackie Young is her backcourt mate on the outside, with the forward lineup consisting of Nneka Ogwumike, Sabrina Ionescu, and Aliyah Boston. Ogwumike earned 185 points on her eighth career pick, Young collected 148, with Liberty star Ionescu earning 125 for her fourth All-WNBA pick. Boston and Bueckers were tied at 112 points.
