The UConn Huskies won the NCAA Championship, giving a perfect farewell to their talented superstar Paige Bueckers. The player’s transition to the WNBA went well as Bueckers won the Rookie of the Year accolade, breaking multiple records in her very first season.
Though her team finished last in the standings, the guard received huge praise for her performances, making her the top player in the league.
At the end of the season, she earned more accolades from the league for her extraordinary rookie season and now received special recognition in the offseason from The New York Times.

Paige Bueckers Ranked Among Most Stylish Person of 2025
The former UConn star is famous for her skills and strong personality on the basketball court. Off the court, she also maintained her reputation and was the most followed WNBA athlete. The New York Times recognized her influence and rewarded her with the Stylish People of 2025 award.
The Times wrote: “Her stardom has extended far beyond the court, thanks to an effervescent “rizz,” or charisma, that comes through in her easy tailored clothes.”

Even recently, PB was at the Knicks game with Angel Reese. She wore simple tomboyish attire, suiting her personality. Fans even reacted to Bueckers’ appearance with Angel Reese as both stars chose opposite dressing. During the WNBA draft, the 23-year-old star entered with a white outfit, and for her WNBA Draft night, Bueckers went with an all-black outfit.
Other people on the list included National League MVP Shohei Ohtani, tennis star Carlos Alcatraz, the NBA’s Tyrese Haliburton, and reigning NBA MVP Shai Gilgeous-Alexander. Many personalities from the entertainment world also featured on the list. But it’s not the only ‘off-court’ recognition PB received in the year.

Another illustrious accolade that the Wings’ guard earned was a spot in Forbes’ 30-under-30’. She and Aliyah Boson earned the honor from the WNBA while Napheesa Collier was on the list as an All-Star Alumni. Every year, Forbes recognizes and honors the top 30 young stars who are under 30 years old and have delivered big in recent years in their field.
