Paige Bueckers is on a phenomenal season run in her first WNBA season, but it turns out the Dallas Wings rookie has a soft spot for some NBA flair, too. While she keeps on making a great case for herself in the Rookie of the Year race, she has a thing for the men’s league.
The 23-year-old UConn alum recently dropped some fun insights on her favorite basketball idols during a podcast chat. Her love for watching NBA superstars became apparent with the Wings at 9-224 and Bueckers lighting up the court with 18.4 points per game. But the two names she could watch play all day are as interesting as hers.
Paige Bueckers Picks Her Two Favorite NBA Players
In a laid-back episode of the ‘Close Friends Only’ podcast with Azzi Fudd, Bueckers got real about the players she could binge-watch endlessly. There are two fantastic NBA stars, Kyrie Irving and Stephen Curry, that Paige can watch “every single time they play.”
“I must watch TV every single time they play,” Buecker said, agreeing with her girlfriend, Azzi Fudd’s admiration for Irving and Curry.
However, it was all love and laughter during the couple’s recent feature for Instagram’s podcast. While Fudd named Bueckers as her first favorite WNBA player, it was Napheesa Collier for both of them.
Additionally, the couple who recently came out to the public with their personal life is WNBA’s latest power couple. Right after the news hit the market, almost all of their fans started gushing over their relationship.

The two basketball phenoms started liking each other “almost immediately” when they locked eyes during the USA Basketball U16 tryout in the summer of 2017. Despite their different mindset earlier on the court, Bueckers and Azzi grew to be the perfect pals.
Paige Bueckers Had An Interesting First Meet With Girlfriend Azzi Fudd
While their story sounds like something closer to a Netflix series, Paige Bueckers couldn’t have met with Azzi Fudd at a better time. Bueckers, who now plays for the Dallas Wings in the WNBA after graduating from UConn, playfully noted that they each have unique stories about that day.
Fudd described how they “clicked” on the court, stating that she didn’t recall much about their interaction off the court until a memorable plane ride home to Minnesota, where they connected more personally.
However, Bueckers humorously remarked about their on-court chemistry and Fudd’s initial lack of memory regarding their off-court interactions, leading to laughter between them.
