The Unrivaled Season 2 started on a high note with the defending champions remaining clear favorites once again. But after 10+ games, a few masterclass performances, shocking results and surprising game winners shifted the power dynamics in the league and saw Laces BC and Phantom BC advancing to the playoffs.
In the latest Unrivaled Power rankings, Laces were leading the contention, while the Phantom BC was a dark horse in the title race. Both teams remained consistent to clinch a place in the knockout phase.

Phantom BC Secure Playoff Berth
The second-placed Phantom BC needed one win to secure a playoff berth. Their next opponents were Vinyl BC, who hoped to keep their playoff dream alive with a win. But Aliyah Boston and Kelsey Plum combined for 63 points and nearly outscored the opponents.
After the win, Plum and Co. bettered their record to 8-3, good enough to clinch the playoff spot. The Laces BC has already qualified for the next phase as a top-seeded side with an 8-2 league record.

Earning a playoff spot just before the exciting 1-on-1 competition is a very commendable effort by the Phantom team, which will see four of its stars compete. While Aliyah Boston vs Alyssa Thomas remains one of the top fixtures in the one-on-one tournament, AB certainly improved on season 2 of the 3-on-3 league.
Aliyah Boston Showcases Her Versatility for Phantom BC
Even though the phantom BC showcased a clinical game to clinch a playoff spot, one player who stood out was Boston. The Fever forward had another double-double performance with 30 points and 16 rebounds. On defense, she had four blocks and a steal. Though she thrived for the Fever team in the absence of many key players, her recent commanding performance was certainly encouraging.
Moreover, AB attempted (eight) and netted most (three) three pointers for the winners, highlighting her growing confidence in the range shooting, which could be a massive boost to the Fever offense in the upcoming season.
The side has three games remaining in the regular season with Laces BC, Hive BC, and Rose BC providing them some competition before the playoffs.
