The WNBA Season is underway, with 7 nationwide broadcasters providing live coverage for fans. Amazon Prime is also set to debut, with Candace Parker leading the star-studded broadcast team.
The league already has 200+ games available on TV, and the massive deal is also helping it invest in its progress. Amid this, Prime Video, the streaming partner of the Amazon service, shared a creative post to announce its debut with the WNBA. But fans had mixed reactions to the same.

WNBA Fans React To Prime Video’s Announcement
For the 2026 WNBA season, Amazon Prime Video has a star-studded exclusive broadcast team that features multiple championship winner Candace Parker and experienced announcer Michael Grady as the lead announce team.
Prime Video is excited to highlight its debut with a doubleheader featuring the Minnesota Lynx against the Dallas Wings, followed by the New York Liberty against the Portland Fire. They made a creative effort to include as many megastars as possible.

As for the Priem video, it will cover 30+ games, the Commissioner’s Cup, and select playoffs. Along with Parker and Grandy, the team features analysts Swin Cash, Cynthia Cooper, Lindsey Harding, Teresa Weatherspoon, Kara Lawson, and LaChina Robinson, with studio host Allie Clifton. Recently, there has been a mega addition to the broadcasting team.
Kelsey Plum Joins Amazon Prime As Player-Contributor
A veteran in her 10th professional season, the 31-year-old is one of the most popular names in the league for her gameplay and her outspoken nature. Amazon Prime Video is looking to leverage her perspective, as she will join Prime Video’s coverage of the 2026 WNBA season.
According to the reports, Plum will join the desk as a player contributor, with the All-WNBA First Team guard expected to make select appearances on the network.
