The recent scenarios with the WNBA are not looking encouraging at all. With the CBA deadline pushed back by 30 more days, the negotiations have come to a stalemate. Now, with the WNBPA set to reject the WNBA’s $1.1 million max-salary offer, things have become more and more complicated.
However, despite all the negativities going around, the franchises are getting ready for the upcoming season. And with the WNBA Draft coming up shortly, the buzz around the young guns is taking over.
Undoubtedly, one of the biggest names in this year’s draft will be Azzi Fudd. Playing for the UConn Huskies, Fudd has been phenomenal this year. In fact, Fudd’s recent picture-perfect floaters have made the fans go gaga over her. However, as it turns out, not only the fans, but Rebecca Lobo too, has some high expectations from the Huskies star.
Rebecca Lobo Vouches For Azzi Fudd Following A Stellar Performance
Back on November 21, the Huskies had one of the toughest games against the Michigan Wolverines. However, much to the delight of the UConn fans, the likes of Fudd played brilliantly as the Huskies dominated the field to cruise to a 72-69 victory.
Speaking about the stars, Fudd was undoubtedly the best player for the Huskies. She dropped a whopping 31 points with seven successful three-point shots in 12 attempts. Aiding her further was Sarah Strong, who chipped in with 16 points.
Now, after watching such a dominating display, Lobo could not help but gush over the quality of Fudd. She even went ahead and made a bold prediction.

Bueckers and Fudd guided the Huskies to a national championship. And that partnership continued as the duo is now involved in a romantic relationship. However, with Bueckers already creating a storm with her rookie performance for the Dallas Wings, all eyes are on how Fudd will perform in her debut year.
But before she comes into the WNBA realm, Bueckers is clear about one thing. She will enjoy the challenge of playing against her partner. And what’s more? The Wings’ star will also be messing up with Fudd.
“Yeah, well, first of all, she’s really not that good at talking trash, so I don’t think she’d have to worry about that. She would say she would mess with me, but I think I’m obviously more…I would mess with her, and then she’d get annoyed and irritated. Yeah, we haven’t played against each other since high school, so I really don’t know how that will go,” said Bueckers.
