The 2025-26 college season had its four months of high-stakes, high-intensity games, as teams now prepare for March Madness. The UConn Huskies dominated the season, continuing from where they left off in April 2025, and will be aiming to defend their title. The architects of the 2025-26 season are still the same, Azzi Fudd and Sarah Strong, who shone in the final four games in their championship run.
The only difference this time would be, like Paige Buckers, senior guard Fudd will be playing her final collegiate games at arenas. While the versatile playmaker is leaving, Fudd praised Sarah Strong’s continued improvement, and recently, the forward also spoke highly about the outgoing player.

Sarah Strong Speaks About Relationship With Azzi Fudd
When Strong entered the program, she was one of the bright prospects for the UConn Huskies, who would take over from PB and Azzi Fudd. Now the time has come, with Fudd looking to cap off her college career on a high note with the help of the talented forward. Without Bueckers, the duo also came closer as the camera caught a playful sibling squabble between the duo during the UConn-Florida showdown.
Talking about the relationship, Strong said, “It’s grown a lot since last year. Just hanging out with her and know her more. And practicing like two-on-two with her against some of the practice players. What she likes to do, what she likes the ball.”
