The Indiana Fever continued to impress every WNBA fan with its resilient gameplay until the Aces finally ended their run in the semifinals. Every Fever player deserved a massive credit for the run, including the midseason acquisitions like Chloe Bibby, Shey Peddy, and Aerial Powers. The group formed a family through their bonding and love for each other, which was evident after the season concluded.
The player who joined the side late in the regular season and yet found a place in the heart of the Fever fanbase was veteran guard Shey Peddy. Even though she played in a handful of games, Indian Fever teammates showered love after Peddy’s emotional farewell post,
But now, in the offseason, the mood is different as the former Temple player celebrates her birthday in style and also shares a hilarious post.
Shey Peddy With Hilarious Scroll Confession
Playing in 17 games in total for the Indiana Fever, the Sky rookie contributed just over five points, one assist, and one rebound per game in 15 minutes of game play. Even though her numbers are not flashy, the veteran guard made an impact with the second unit, handing her side an edge in the games and earning respect from her teammates.

The similar love and respect were once again on display as the six-year veteran turns 37 on October 28, and the Fever players made her day special. Sharing a post with a mix of her ‘newborn’ images and current year pictures, the guard wrote, “Year I was born is getting a little far on that little scrolly thing.”
Many fever players liked the post and responded to it. Mikayla Timpson wrote, “Happy Birthday Shey P”, while Aliyah Boston commented, “Happy Birthday babesssss.” Sophie Cunningham also responded with heart emojis. Aari McDonald, Kelsey Mitchell, Aerial Powers and Damiris Dantas were other respondents on Peddy’s post.

Kelsey Mitchell Lauds Shey Peddy And Midseason Acquisitions
While the guard continued to show her funny side off the court, she was one of the key factors in the Fever’s run. Kelsey Mitchell on Sue Bird’s podcast gave her and other midseason acquisitions their flowers to make the season memorable.
During the injury-laden period, HC Stephanie White stayed positive on the Indiana Fever signing Peddy, indicating the trust management kept in the veteran star.
“The one thing that I appreciated about Ariel, O (Odyssey Sims), and Shey was that whatever program that we, you know, that they saw that we had, they didn’t interrupt it. You know, they kind of just complimented it,” Mitchell explained. “Shey being able to shoot the ball and kind of see the floor as an older PG, but from a mental standpoint was like small game changes, and it was dope because it could have not been that way.”
While the Indiana Fever look to continue to have the same group of players for the 2026 season, it’s interesting to see who makes the cut out of the midseason acquisitions for the side.
