The Indiana Fever might have had an unforgettable season with their semifinal run in 2025, but one particular off-game incident still made the headlines. The play had to stop as a green dildo smacked Sophie Cunningham’s legs during the game.
The incident took place at the Crypto.com arena, with LA Sparks’ coach Cory Close later calling out the ‘stupid’ trend in the league. Recently, the Fever forward opened up on the same as she sat down with Caleb Pressley on Sundae Conversation.

Sophie Cunningham Recalls ‘Shocking’ Incident
Both the Indiana Fever and the Los Angeles Sparks were looking to secure a place in the playoffs with a win. With the intense game on the line, one particular incident impacted players’ concentration, as one fan threw a green dildo on the floor. Incidentally, it hit the former Missouri star’s legs, who nervously laughed about it at the time.
Speaking about the same, Cunningham recently said, “I have no idea, but it kind of scared me. I wasn’t expecting a dildo to be thrown at me, especially during a game.”

As for the 29-year-old forward, it was really a shock, even though she had heard about similar acts in other arenas. She later faced a similar ‘shocking’ question, as there is uncertainty over the 2026 WNBA season.
Sophie Cunningham Shuts Down OnlyFans Question
The CBA discussions hit a roadblock, with the players’ association ready for the strike. During the show, Pressley jokingly asked Cunningham whether she would go for an OnlyFans account as a backup plan if the WNBA were to enter a lockout. The player didn’t give a definitive answer to the question, leaving room for speculation.
One fan directly questioned the star about her ‘definite’ answer, and Cunningham responded with the comment, “That will never happen.”
The player is currently a free agent in the league and will be looking for the CBA conclusions for her next team confirmations and directions. Incidentally, Cunningham already has a contract with Project B, which will allow her to get back on the court at most by December 2026.
