Caitlin Clark heading the All-Star team was like a dream come true for her. Facing off against Team Collier, Clark was supposed to entertain her home crowd in Gainbridge Fieldhouse. Unfortunately, things did not work out as expected. Owing to a groin injury, Clark had to sit out of the game. But with Clark, she won’t be a mere spectator.
The 23-year-old got mic’d up and started to cheer her team. Watching her team falter, Clark decided to give them some pep talk. But what started as an amateur, fun coaching stint, soon went viral. And adding more intrigue to the story, Sophie Cunningham decided to chime in.
Sophie Cunningham Gets The Better Of Caitlin Clark Online
Clark was full of energy going into the All-Star game. While she constantly shouted strategies, one particular moment stood out. The Fever star orchestrated a play from scratch and fed it verbally to her teammates. Clark instructed Gabby Williams to dribble off while asking Ionescu to set her up. She then told Aliyah Boston to clean up, and Kelsey Plum had to pass the ball to Ionescu for a three-pointer.
Unfortunately, the strategy fell flat and did not materialize. And as soon as that happened, the camera person panned to Clark. Cameras caught her booing her own team with both her thumbs down. As this was a hilarious moment, Clark’s teammate, Sophie Cunningham, didn’t miss a chance to troll the 23-year-old. Commenting on a post shared by Bleacher Report, Cunningham commented: “Welcome to our life every day.”
In a second comment, Cunningham further stated, “I feel sorry for no one.”
However, this was only a friendly banter from Cunningham. Joining Clark this season from the Phoenix Mercury, Cunningham has struck a great bond with Clark. She has constantly been vocal about the need for the WNBA officials to protect Clark from physical aggression. Meanwhile, keeping the fun aside, the Indiana Fever needs her back ASAP. And Stephanie White chimed in with an update.

Stephanie White Gives Important Update On Caitlin Clark
Indiana head coach Stephanie White would want Caitlin Clark to come back pretty soon. Unfortunately, at the moment, it looks like her groin will take some time to recover. Missing Tuesday’s game against the New York Liberty. White pointed out that the team doctors have had a talk with the Rookie of the Year. And while she is progressing, the team will be looking to assess her situation periodically throughout the week.

“I think she’s progressing,” White said. “I think that we’re continuing to address everything that needs to be addressed … I don’t expect her to be available on Tuesday, so we’re just going to continue to take it one day at a time and let her get her evaluations early this week.” ( via ESPN)
Thus, with Caitlin Clark looking to make a comeback, fans are eagerly waiting to welcome her back.
