The team achieved a thrilling two-point victory over the Atlanta Dream in the elimination game, and head coach Stephanie White highlighted the pivotal moment that swung the game in their favor.
Stephanie White Mentions Aliyah Boston’s Technical Foul Call As Turning Point In The Game
After a win in game two, every Indiana Fever player mentioned that the job is not done yet. They finished their task in Atlanta, beating the Dream in front of their home crowd. The tough victory resulted from the players’ urge to win and resilience on the court.

Although both sides played with the same goal and intensity in the game, HC Stephanie White mentioned that the technical foul called on Aliyah Boston turned the game for the Fever side.
“We knew that we just had to keep it tight. It just takes a couple of breaks to go your way,” said White. Reporter Tony East also mentioned that the Fever HC mentioned that Boston getting a technical foul at the 5:44 mark of the third quarter was the “turning point”.
During the close game, Boston threw Brionna Jones to the ground after a Dream forward was body-checking her in the box. The referee awarded Jones a personal foul, while AB got a technical foul for her excessive reaction. As White pointed out, it lit a fire under the Fever. The Fever forward, who had a quiet first half, posted a double-double of 14 points and 12 rebounds and made the go-ahead basket with 7.4 seconds left.

Boston, though, now needs to check her behavior on the court, as the second technical in the playoffs will cost her a game, as per the WNBA technical foul rules.

Although the Indiana Fever trailed throughout the game, they never let the deficit go beyond seven points. The game turned in the visitors’ favor in the final two minutes. With five points separating the two teams, Fever defended well, took open scoring opportunities, and scored all seven points to win the game.
In the final 10 seconds of the game, AB’s go-ahead jumper handed the Fever team a much-needed lead, while Hull made a decisive interception, denying the Atlanta team an opportunity to score. With all players contributing heavily in the game, Stephanie white will be ready for any challenge ahead en route to the WNBA Championship.
The Indiana Fever will now face the Las Vegas Aces in the semifinal. Both sides won a game apiece in the regular season.
