The Indiana Fever’s qualification for the playoffs was a significant achievement. Stephanie White sent a powerful message to the team before the WNBA playoff run. Even though they lost the first game, a win at home after 10 years was another achievement for the side. Now the side is one game away from the semifinals, but they have more concerning news.
As per the update, center Damiris Dantas will be out of the contest. HC confirmed the status ahead of the game.
Stephanie White Rules Out Damiris Dantas
Injuries are not new to the Indiana Fever in the 2025 season. They already have five players out of rotation for the season. In the postseason games, they lost one more player, Damiris Dantas, for the first two games due to a concussion. Ahead of game three, HC White confirmed the forward’s unavailability but had a positive update simultaneously.

“She’s continuing to progress, so that’s good. Obviously, we’ll miss having her size and her ability to play with physicality. We miss that and being able to give AB (Aliyah Boston) a blow and our ability to stretch the floor — another 3-point shooter, somebody that we can we can use to space the floor, give AB some room to operate and just have another offensive threat,” said HC White.
The signs indicate that if the side advances to the next round, the Brazilian star could return to the lineup. She has been a very handy player with her defensive abilities and occasional three-pointers, stretching the defense.

Stephanie White Is Confident About Her Team’s Preparation
Winning game two was a morale booster for the Indiana Fever. Stephanie White gave an inspiring speech in the locker room and also showed confidence in her team for the elimination game.
“This is a group that’s confidence never really wavered. We’ve been in every kind of situation you can imagine, and we’ve been able to find ways to put ourselves in a position to win. “[Game 3] will be no different. Obviously, it’s going to be on the opponents’ home floor, but it doesn’t matter,” White told the media.
The team will face the Atlanta Dream in the elimination game on September 18. The winner of the series will play the winner of the Aces vs Storm series in the semifinal.
