Stephanie White’s pregame prep talk was crisp and clear. She highlighted that the team won’t rely on other teams’ results and will decide its own fate by winning the game against the Washington Mystics. The team received the message and delivered clinical performance on the floor.
After the game, Aliyah Boston led the qualification celebrations in the locker room. The dominant win was the perfect way to enter the playoffs. But HC now has a special warning for her side.
Stephanie White Delivers Powerful Message For Indiana Fever
Despite all the adversities, the Fever’s qualification was nothing short of a miracle. Players’ hard work paid off, and pumped-up Stephanie White made bold comments after qualification. Her message was for all the doubters and critics.

After taking care of them, the HC was ready with a message for her team, too. She congratulated players on qualification, applauded their resilience, and then pointed out the requirements to win the title. She mentioned that she was happy with everything except the fourth quarter.
“And so the message is, you know, we’re not happy to just be in the playoffs. We want to compete in the playoffs. We want to be a team that is competing for championships. And in order to compete for championships, you don’t play the score. You don’t play the opponent. You play the standard. We did not play the standard for the last five minutes of the fourth quarter. We’ve got to be better,” White said in a post-game interview after a win over the Lynx.
At one point, the sixth-seeded team led by 19 points, but the League leaders made a strong comeback in the final 10 minutes and nearly won the game—all this without Napheesa Colliers on the floor.

Understanding how closing the games strongly matters in the postseason, the head coach warned her side to stay focused throughout the game.
Stephanie White’s Indiana Fever Has Tougher Challenges Ahead
Closing out the season with a three-game winning run, the Fever will be ready to fight. But they could face either the Atlanta Dream or the Las Vegas Aces in the first round. Both teams are on a strong winning run. Particularly, the Aces set a WNBA record with 13 consecutive wins and extended it to 14 with a win over the Chicago Sky.
Both teams have a strong forward lineup, an area where the Fever struggled in the 25 season, despite Natasha Howard and Aliyah Boston’s productive performances. The Fever have a 2-2 record against the Atlanta Dream and a 2-1 record against the Aces. But their wins came early in the season, and both teams have improved a lot since then.
