Angel Reese might not be playing in the Unrivaled league, but that can’t keep the limelight away from her. Reese is part of the NBA-WNBA players list, starring in Stephen Curry’s GOAT movie. While she is setting a strong example in the entertainment and fashion worlds, some critics are still talking about her basketball skills.
Most of those voices point to her rebounding ability, mentioning that the player can only rebound and can’t do more than that. Her head coach, Tyler Marsh, answered such critics in a recent interview.

Tyler Marsh Backs Angel Reese’s Versatility
Despite the team’s poor performance in the 2025 season, Tyler Marsh is still the Sky head coach and will be looking to get better results in the upcoming season. For that, her needs performances from his star player.
In the Star Struck Podcast interview, he answered a question about his experience of coaching the former LSU star. “From a playing standpoint, she’s a lot more versatile than some people give her credit for, ” Marsh said. “I think that people put her in a box of rebounder, but she can do a little bit more of that. So, the sky is the limit on who she can be as a player.”

Marsh added, “She’s a star, and she’s continuing to learn who she is as a player. In this league, she is a back-to-back two-time all-star, so she has made a statement early. And obviously, what she is doing off the court is just inspirational.”

Angel Reese With Playoff Aspirations For Upcoming Season
The 2025 season had been very productive for the 6-foot-3 forward, but the side couldn’t make it to the playoffs for the second consecutive season. She was clearly frustrated by the outcome of the season and later spoke about it in her interviews.
Now the 24-year-old forward remains focused on her goal and has recently set a target for the upcoming season. “Win win win win. 2026, I am looking for the playoffs. I am trying to get to the playoffs. I hate to be at home watching finals. It is not great. I wanna be in the finals. Just give me the finals, just give me the playoffs,” Reese said in her podcast.

Reese signed a four-year rookie contract with the Sky franchise, and now the franchise will look for some ‘meaningful’ additions to give her a chance to compete for the title.
