The Los Angeles Sparks are showing up quite strongly. Coming into the season, the Los Angeles franchise has been in a spot of bother. But of late, they seem to be pushing hard towards a playoff spot. Currently, the Sparks are number 10 with 12 wins and 15 losses. And consolidating their position further, Sparks recorded a breathtaking victory, courtesy of Dearcia Hamby.
The Los Angeles Sparks faced off against the Seattle Storm. And with the game going down to the wire, things rested on which team could hold its nerves. Luckily for Los Angeles, Hamby pulled off a stunner as just seconds were left for the buzzer to go off.
Dearcia Hamby Pulls Off Last-Moment Heroics For Los Angeles Sparks
The teams battled on equal footing throughout the game. With both teams refusing to back down, the game went to double overtime. The first of its kind for the season. Now then, with the teams locked in, it was Dearcia Hamby who decided to step up. As the clock was ticking away, Hamby capitalized on a layup and headed the ball right into the basket.
With just 4.3 seconds left on the clock, this was a teller blow for the Storm. However, Seattle did have a chance to get back into the game. Skylar Diggins got an opportunity to head home a similar shot to that of Hamby. Unfortunately, her shot went off target and rebounded off the rim as the buzzer went off.

Other notable performances included that of Rickea Jackson, who had the highest score with 27 points. Kelsey Plum and Azura Stevens too, dropped an impressive 22 and 21 points respectively. Meanwhile, as the Sparks have been on a roll recently, WNBA analyst Sarah Spain had a bold prediction for the Los Angeles-based side.
