After a couple of nightmarish seasons in the WNBA, the Chicago Sky is looking for a change of fate. And for that, they are leaving no stone unturned. For example, the Sky has hired Latricia Trammell as their special assistant coach.
And if that was not enough, there is more. Sky landed the fifth overall pick in the WNBA draft. Thus, they will look to make the most out of this chance. Now, with the WNBA Draft still some time to come, the speculations as to who the Sky will pick are on the rise.
But one thing is for sure, partnering with Angel Reese, the 20-year-old Ajsa Sivka will be looking to put her foot on the pedal.

Will Ajka Sivka Get Things Done For The Chicago Sky?
The Slovenian wing was drafted No. 10 in 2025 by the Sky. And while she is still in her developmental years, the Sky fans can expect some crazy fireworks from the 20-year-old.
One of the biggest pros of her game is her swift release. Sivka needs very little time or space to launch her shot. In fact, her knack for shooting from deep might actually come in handy for the Sky.
“We’re going to try to continue to develop and see if we can have her game grow to be much more than just a shooter. At that size … her mobility and her ability to shoot the ball and shoot as quickly as she does, there’s just not a lot of them,” Sky general manager Jeff Paglioca said, speaking about Sivka.

Moreover, her play reflects a team player within her. That’s because whenever she is drawing a crowd around herself, Sivka is swift to pass the ball around, creating more shooting opportunities. Meanwhile, with high expectations, Sivka is already proving her worth outside of the US.
Ajsa Sivka Shines In The European League Much To Chicago Sky’s Delight
Last year, Tyler Marsh tried to play Reese in the wing-playing forward position. Unfortunately, the ploy failed. Thankfully, all of those questions might now be answered with the Slovenian star coming in.

In her recent stint in the EuroBasket competition, Sivka scored as many as seven three-pointers against the Estudiantes. And if that’s not impressive enough, she also dropped 16 points in an earlier game against the Spar Gran Canaria.
Thus, it is evident that things are looking quite rosy for Sivka and Sky. Now, the fans will be eager to see what happens next.
