It’s another game and another loss for the Indiana Fever. Instead of making a push for a playoff spot, the side’s recent results have been very discouraging, putting some question marks over Stephanie White’s decision-making.
Even though Caitlin Clark was out of the rotation, the losses against struggling sides clearly hindered the team’s progress. After a recent defeat against the Mystics, analyst Jason Whitelock blasted the Fever HC.
Jason Whitlock Slams Stephanie White’s Rotation Choices
Injuries to Aari McDonald, Sydney Colson and Caitlin Clark left the Indiana Fever team shorthanded at the point guard position. Yet the side recorded a convincing win over the Chicago Sky, giving them confidence in coping without a true guard against weaker teams. But recent back-to-back losses put them in a dangerous position to miss the postseason.
Frustrated by the recent loss, sports writer Jason Whitlock slammed Fever HC’s rotation policies that handed the team a four-point defeat against the tenth-place Mystics.
“I’m so sick of Stephanie White and her love affair with every point guard not named Caitlin Clark. Sims is headed toward 30 minutes of playing time. Ridiculous,” Whitlock wrote in his post on ‘X’.

Throughout the game, he kept posting his frustration on social media and blasted the ‘overuse’ of mid-season addition Sims. Before the above tweet, he mentioned that putting in Sims instead of Sophie Cunningham in the closing moments was the wrong decision. He slammed the choice of Sims as he couldn’t contribute in the final 3 minutes of the game. He already slammed the Fever team for not playing at high level to support CC.

In the recent game, most of the offensive stars struggled, including the in-form Kelsey Mitchell, who scored 14 points after a 20+ point average in the previous five games. Aliyah Boston led the charge with 20 points and nine rebounds, but didn’t get the expected support from the rest of the team.
The Indiana Fever team is now seventh in the league standings, losing two positions following two losses. The team is in dire need of some wins, with less than two wins separating them from the ninth-place finish. Even though the analyst has slammed the coach earlier also, the HC explained player recruitment process.
Stephanie White Talks About Process For New Recruits
The Indiana Fever did well, adding players like Aari McDonald and Chloe Bibby to the lineup midway through the season. Fans were expecting a similar outcome from Sims, who played her second game for the Indiana team.

Though she didn’t make a major impact so far, HC White mentioned that everyone from the back office gets involved in the new player acquisition process. This allows a seamless transition in the tough period.
