The WNBA 2026 preseason games will start in 48 hours, with the season starting in a two-week period. As much as the fans and league are excited for the 30th anniversary edition of the league, the broadcasters are also gearing up for the same.
As soon as the commissioner announced the schedule for the season, the broadcasters made sure that they had their slots available for the top games. Prime Video even mentioned three-time champion Candace Parker as their lead broadcaster for the season. But that’s not all, as they amp up the thrill with the addition of two other Hall of Famers.

Prime Video Adds Hall Of Famers To WNBA Broadcasting Team
The league’s expansion attracted huge investment from around the world, like recently, the WNBA partners with $333.61 billion global brand in a major sponsorship deal. Also, there are a number of broadcasters for its 2026 season, including Prime Video, which has rights to a huge chunk of WNBA games.
The network is looking to make the most of the opportunity and improve the user experience to attract more subscribers. They also added Cynthia Cooper and Teresa Weatherspoon to the coverage, making it an in-depth analysis for fans.

“We’ve built a team that brings together championship experience, broadcasting excellence, and fresh perspectives,” said Amina Hussein, Prime Sports Head of On-Air Talent and Development. She even highlighted the strategic depth of the new broadcast team in an official statement.

The ‘Prime-Team’ for broadcasting will include Candace Parker, Swin Cash, USA Basketball head coach Kara Lawson, Los Angeles Lakers assistant Lindsey Harding, and veteran analyst LaChina Robinson. Michael Grady, Lisa Byington, and Mike Watts will provide play-by-play commentary, while Allie Clifton will be the studio host for new pregame and postgame programs.
Prime Video has rights for exclusive streaming of 30 regular-season games and the Commissioner’s Cup.
Indiana Fever Sets WNBA Record With 100% TV Presence
While the whole league found a surge in its popularity, the Indiana Fever is leading al the way with the highest demand amongst the fans. According to a recent update, the franchise will have all 44 of its games on TV, marking the second season in a row and setting a record in both the NBA and the WNBA.

Interestingly, though, the franchise is finding it difficult to sell tickets to its season opener as a WNBA analyst points out a probable reason for the same.
