The new CBA deal made many changes to league operations and allowed rookies to have greater control over their destiny, based on their on-court performance and the length of their contracts.
Per the new CBA term, rookies selected to the first or second All-WNBA teams will be eligible for the supermax contract in their final season of the rookie contract. In 2026, the supermax contract value is around $1.4 million and will increase as the league grows.
CC made the WNBA First team in 2024, while playing in just 13 games in the 2025 season. The Fever’s front office will aim to balance the max contract offers among its core players.
