It was like a dream for the Wings, with back-to-back lottery wins and the chance to reunite the 2025 NCAA Champion duo for maximum impact. Analyst Chiney Ogwumike backed Azzi Fudd as the Dallas Wings’ no. 1 pick for elite shooting, and the Indiana Fever’s star agrees with her.
“I still am kind of rocking with I could see them going with a number one. Like, I can see it. So, I mean, we’re not surprised because they did have the worst record, but I could see them going with Azzi still number one,” Boston responded to CP’s question.
The UConn star won NCAA MOP in the 2025 championship run with her all-around performance in the tournament, and even in the ongoing season, the senior guard is delivering at the highest level, keeping the unbeaten streak alive for the reigning champions.

While many showed love for the 2025 rookie, Fudd couldn’t hold back and commented, “Paige >>> everyone else who’s worn these jerseys.” Though she showed her appreciation for the Wings’ guard’s pic, Ailyah Boston responded to Fudd’s particular comment and wrote, “@azzu35 wow I feel attacked 😭”
The 23-year-old was also a McDonald’s All-American in 2019, and her humorous response revealed a close connection between the two.
