The 2026 season is within sight, and fans are already happy to see Caitlin Clark and the team on the floor in the practice session. The starting playmaker missed most of the 2025 season due to injury, and the coach is looking to protect her from any injuries in the training phase, as White hinted at resting Clark during a few reps.
But on day one, the former Iowa star came up with a strong stance on the ‘rest’ part and mentioned that she will play in every rep in training.

Caitlin Clark Intends To Play In Every Rep
Coach Stephane White had to deal with multiple player injuries in the 2025 season, but the one that hurt the side most was the absence of their top playmaker. To avoid a similar situation again, White said they will limit her involvement in practice sessions. But CC is not happy with that idea as she spoke with the media.
“I’m a person that doesn’t want to sit out a single rep, like I want to be in there every single time. But I think just being a little bit smarter with my body … whether that’s recovery, whether that’s pre-court treatment, whatever it is,” Clark responded.

“I was talking to (Stephanie White) a little bit, and I’m the person that doesn’t want to sit out a single rep. I want to be in there every single time. … None of that has changed, but just being a little bit smarter with my body. …” pic.twitter.com/U2eLdTi2Vl
Interestingly, a Fever insider updated on player injuries well before training camp and stated that the 2024 rookie is ready to play.

It is important to note that CC was one player entering the Fever facility during the offseason and also had her rehab in the same rooms. She now enjoys other players also joining in and preparing for the season.
Caitlin Clark Welcomes The ‘Change’ In Her Practice Routine
After just 13 games in the 2025 season, Clark already mentioned her plans to be 100% healthy for the upcoming season and even spoke about her Team USA dream. While she won the MVP award playing for Team USA, the focus is now on the 2026 season. She also spoke about the ‘lonely’ practices during the offseason.
“It’s hard, it’s very isolating to come to practice every single day and spend two hours getting treatment and rehab and then you come out here and you have to show up and be the best teammate you can be,” Clark said.
Caitlin recognizes the importance of not going all out in training camp after her injury. This is her self awareness and a decision she made for herself to stay healthy. She’s also embracing being a vet this season 🥹 pic.twitter.com/5GkXF4UiSP

“I think that taught me a lot about what I can do if I’m not on the court, and I got to be their biggest fan. I think that was a great experience for me because through a lot of my career, everyone else was my biggest fan. That doesn’t mean I wasn’t cheering for my teammates. It was like I was playing the most minutes, I had the ball in my hands, and when you’re not doing that, you have to find another way to impact the team,” Clark concluded.
The player was cheering for the side from the sidelines, and the coach also acknowledged her impact even from outside the white borders of the court.
