The WNBPA and WNBA are currently working on a CBA deal that has a new training schedule overlapping the March Madness. This will not only impact the games but draft picks, including Azzi Fudd, Lauren Betts, and Olivia Miles, who are among the top 5 prospects.
While the CBA is yet to reach its conclusion, the topic on the Post Moves podcast was the top pick prospect, where Aliyah Boston sided with Azzi Fudd. But for her co-host, Candace Parker, the UConn star could fit better at the Minnesota Lynx.

Candace Parker Puts Azzi Fudd In The Minnesota Lynx Rather Than The Dallas Wings
Before putting forward the question for the top draft pick, CP bragged about her luck in Vegas, winning four consecutive black jacks. Then she placed a bet on Wings winning the draft lottery, which also came true. So when AB mentioned Fudd going to the Wings as the first overall pick, Parker gave a different angle.
“I think for Azzi, I would probably love to see her with Minnesota. Minnesota would be great. I think that the action and you’re coming into a team that’s already really good. The Storm would be another intriguing place to live, but we don’t get to determine. This isn’t about what Azzi wants, it’s about what’s best for Dallas,” Parker said.
After the Wings, the Lynx, and Storm hold second and third pick, respectively, making it feasible to land Azzi Fudd in any of the three franchises. Parker added that Wings could add Olivia Miles, who is fast, and change the game plan using PB on the wings.

“And their different dynamics,” Parker said. “Like Paige is a scoring guard that facilitates and is a great passer. But Olivia is just straight up like gonna get you in your offense and push pace, hit you with some nice passes.”
Parker’s analysis makes sense, giving the Wings more versatility on the roster, but the outline of the discussion suggests Fudd is among the top three picks.
Azzi Fudd Shining Brightest At The Moment With UConn
The reason for having the senior star higher in the draft ranking is her performance on the floor. Paige Bueckers forced UConn to pick Fudd during her freshman year, and the star showed her quality on the court. Coming back from the injury, she not only helped the side win a record-setting NCAA championship but also won the MOP title.

In the ongoing season, she continued her form as the Huskies remain undefeated. While CP puts her in the top three, Analyst Chiney Ogwumike backed Azzi Fudd as the Dallas Wings’ no. 1 pick for elite shooting, ending any doubts.
