During the WNBA offseason, in the midst of the stalled CBA discussions, the Unrivaled league kept women’s basketball fans hooked. Even though the league was seen as a rival to the WNBA in the long run for multiple reasons, season 2 overshadowed that notion and its inaugural season.
The key highlight of season 2 was its record attendance. The Philadelphia visit set a record for the highest attended women’s basketball game and also the highest attended event at the Xfinity Mobile Arena. One of the Key reasons for this surge was players who delivered high-intensity, high-quality basketball on the floor. Here are the top three Unrivalled season 2 performances so far.

Marina Mabrey Against Rose BC

Day 1 in Philadelphia saw the highest attendance and the highest individual score at the time. The Phantom BC was inching closer to the top spot with a series of wins, and Aliyah Boston was the star of the show. Against the Vinyl BC, she posted 33 points, 16 rebounds, and 4 blocks, impacting the scoreboard on both ends of the floor. While Kelsey Plum stole the show on most of the occasions, AB’s massive outing remains one of the highlights of the Phantom BC’s performances. The Fever forward still gushes over Kelsey Plum’s push for her rise.
Chelsea Gray Against Lunar Owls

There are no words for the Aces’ champion guard. She not only overcame multiple talented guards in a one-on-one tournament but also remained a key figure for the defending champions throughout the season. However, the one that stood out most came against the Lunar Owls. The first game set the tone for the side as Gray finished with 35 points, 5 rebounds, 8 assists, and 3 steals.
