The Indiana Fever hint at their priorities as the team signed Aliyah Boston on a four-year contract, seeing a long-term future with the talented forward. While the player was happy to re-sign with the Fever side, her $6.3 million contract is the highest value in the league history, breaking the earlier record set by A’ja Wilson.
As the player returned to the training camp, one of the early questions she faced was about her contract, and she gave her honest opinion about the contract.

Aliyah Boston Reacts To Indiana Fever Contract
Ever since the former South Carolina Tar joined the Fever franchise, she had been the team’s most important player on the floor. Making an impact on both ends of the floor, she established herself as a key building piece for the Indiana Fever team, so there was not much surprise about the bigger contract for the player.
Reacting to the same in a press conference, Boston said, “Super blessed. God is great, man … to get that extension … I’m super excited about it. Once the CBA was finalized, my agent handled all of that. I’d just sit back, watch a good show and wait for him to call me.”

During the injury-laden 2025 season, A held the line for the side, playing multiple roles for the side as the situation demanded and even pushed the side to the semi-final.

But the player is not sitting on the heavy cheques only, she is looking to make a meaningful impact in the games and has already worked hard on it during the offseason.
Aliyah Boston Owning New Skills
Ahead of the training camp, the Indiana Fever released a statement on the injured players, including Sophie Cunningham and Boston. As the side has a fully fit roster for the season, they will be aiming for a championship, but the 24-year-old forward has already worked on a different skillset, adding another dimension to her game.
“I spent the offseason honestly just shooting a lot threes, I know that’s something I want to be able to be ready to do consistently for the Fever, and so that was definitely my mindset and goal going into it,” she said.

The player won Defensive Player of the Season award during the Unrivalled Season 2, highlighting her improved performance at the defensive end, and now with a three-point shooting ability, Boston will look to take over the court, covering every aspect of the game.
