According to reports from ESPN’s Shams Charania, the Fever signed the 2023 Rookie of the Year to a four-year contract extension. This deal was part of the latest Exceptional Performance On Initial Contract (EPIC). A provision created following the sanctioning of the latest CBA agreement.
“Indiana Fever three-time WNBA All-Star Aliyah Boston is signing a four-year, $6.3 million contract extension with the franchise, giving her the richest total salary in league history to date, Zack Miller of WME Basketball tells me, @alexaphilippou and @kendra__andrews,” Charania wrote on X.

More details about her contract revealed that the deal is worth a whopping $6.3 million. Such a number makes it the richest supermax contract offered to a player this year. In 2026 alone, the 24-year-old will be making $1 million. Furthermore, she will be earning 20% of the total salary cap each season through 2029.

This contract means that the 2025 WNBA Commissioner’s Cup champion has now surpassed A’ja Wilson for the highest supermax. Previously, it was Wilson’s $5 million deal with the Las Vegas Aces, which was the richest.
