Napheesa Collier And Cathy Engelbert Drama Escalation
The Napheesa Collier and Cathy Engelbert drama began shortly after Collier suffered an ankle injury during Game 3 against Phoenix, which forced her to watch Game 4 from the bench. Later on, Collier used her exit interview to criticize league management and highlight ongoing frustrations over the CBA.

“The real threat to our league isn’t money. It isn’t ratings or even missed calls or even physical play. It’s the lack of accountability from the league office.“
Following her statements, Collier arranged a meeting with Engelbert to discuss their concerns. However, she later canceled, the reason being Cathy’s lack of accountability. This came after Engelbert denied making comments on Caitlin Clark, as described by Collier in her interview. However, the CBA negotiations are still at a standstill, and the growing tensions between management and players do not bode well for the league.
