Azzi Fudd Teases Steph Curry For Never Attending Her UConn Games In 5 Years

The 2026 WNBA draft sent Azzi Fudd to the pro level following the Wings’ top selection. Making three NCAA Final Four appearances and being a one-time Champion with the MOP accolade deserved every bit of recognition for her college career.

While the player also impressed everyone in the training, she already had one incomplete dream, having NBA superstar Stephen Curry in the stands during her college games, and she got a chance to complain about it to the Warriors’ megastar in person.

Azzi Fudd Takes Shot At Stephen Curry For Not Attending Her UConn Games

With NCAA games becoming much more competitive and intense, many NBA and WNBA stars also attend the high-profile games, taking time off their schedules. Recently, Fudd had her favorite star, Kyrie Irving, attend the UConn Huskies game. While she was happy about it, she complained to Steph about not showing up for any of her games.

In the recent podcast episode of ‘Fudd Around and Find Out’, the 23-year-old said she was in college for 5 years, and Curry didn’t even attend one of her games.

Stephen Curry was also quick to respond in his mischievous style as he said, “I am going to deflect the blame on Adam Silver for not scheduling game in the northeast at a certain point or at least give us a day off. And I am gonna blame Larry Riley, for not drafting me, because if I was in New York, I would have been up there.”

Curry even hilariously admitted that her had to search for the Golden State when the team drafted him, and now he is a legend of the team with a Hall of Fame Career.

As for the 2026 rookie, who is stepping into the pro world, she is looking to make a name for herself. Despite having a slow start, the player already has her coach’s support.

Azzi Fudd Receives Coach Fernandez’s Backing

The Wings lost their second game in a row, and there were fingers pointed at many mistakes. Coach even blasted players and asked for accountability in the game. But when the reporter asked him about his rookie’s performance, he was happy with the output.

“I thought she had a good game. She played, what, 19, 20 minutes? For someone that hasn’t practiced the last couple days, it was good and we’re easing her into her being a bigger part in getting more minutes,” Fernandez said.

The coach has already hinted that Azzi Fudd is ready to step into the starter role. She will also be looking to get more time on the court.
