Apart from the league celebrating its 30th season, Caitlin Clark’s return to the action makes the 2026 season a grand one. The megastar’s absence in the All-Star game affected its viewership and the league, moving up in popularity. Now, they look at the megastar for another miracle season.
The injured player, though, had a tough rehab, and though she played well in the FIBA competition, the demanding WNBA season and challenges needed a different level of preparation. Although she is playing in one of the top five sides in the 2026 season, the expectations for the playmaker are huge.
Interestingly, she got help from LeBron James in the offseason, who is undoubtedly the only other player who could understand this and has gone through the same pain.

Caitlin Clark Speaks About LeBron James’ Efforts During Her Injury
The CC and LBJ connection goes way back, as the NBA mega star always backed the WNBA rookie to perform at the highest level. When she suffered a season-ending injury, James came forward sharing an encouraging message for the 24-year-old. But that’s not all, he went beyond and reached out to check on CC.
In a recent interview with ESPN, the Fever guard narrated the story as she said, “LeBron has just been there to support me more than anything. He understands the microscope that I’m under, and the spotlight that’s on me, and I think he just wants to be there for me more than anything. When I was hurt last year, he reached out and was like, ‘Is there any way I can help you? Is there anybody I can connect you with?“

“Just somebody that’s there trying to help you, trying to help make the game better, help you improve, and I think that’s a lot of our relationship now,” Clark added.
James is playing in his 22nd season in the league and is famous for spending millions on conditioning and taking care of his body. While the player reached out for help, the WNBA star has another wish that only LBJ can fulfill.
Caitlin Clark Shares Surprising Wish Away From Basketball
The former Iowa star already sees the Lakers’ forward as an all-time great basketball player. Though she feels she can’t beat him on the basketball court, she would rather play golf with him.
Clark explained that she and the NBA legend regularly talk about golf and hope to eventually hit the course together. “We text about golf. That’s next on our bucket list, is to play golf together. I’m not sure either of us are too great and we might be chasing the ball a lot. But I think basketball players just like the mental challenge of an individual sport like golf.”
