The Dallas Wings have newfound optimism in the lineup, with new players and a new coach making their presence felt. At the heart of the Wings’ development, though, is Paige Bueckers. The UConn star remained one of the top players last season and won the Rookie of the Year award, and is now looking for a fresh start to the season with new teammates, including her former colleague, Azzi Fudd.
The star also featured in the USA Basketball matches in the FIBA World Cup qualifiers, where managing director Sue Bird notes key qualities that help Bueckers bring everybody together. While the player nearly fits in any ‘group’, she recently attended the Met Gala, and her stunning look mesmerized fans.

Paige Bueckers Details Her Met Gala Dress
The 23-year-old star is not only the master on the basketball court, but her involvement and input on the dress also highlight her knowledge of fashion. Talking to E!, she spoke about her dress and its meaning just before the actual event.
“All the little details—the beads, the coloring, everything—came together perfectly for me. To be you, express yourself in the way that you want to enjoy the process of making a beautiful masterpiece. They are going to add an embroidery of the five [to the sleeve]. That’s specific to me and my basketball number. For me, basketball is an art, so I feel like it’s just all of my worlds collabing and colliding. For this piece specifically, I really enjoyed how they put it together,” Bueckers said.
Before WNBA star Paige Buecker made her Met Gala debut, the Dallas Wings guard invited E!'s By Design to her final fitting with Coach, where she explained the vision behind her three piece suit. pic.twitter.com/ieehPFA7G4
