The 45-year-old and Rapinoe were one of the most adorable power couples in professional sport. Their relationship dates back to the 2016 Summer Olympics in Rio. This marked the first time the two lovebirds met each other. While they fell for each other, it was not until 2020 that the duo announced their engagement.
However, while fans were expecting news of their marriage, a contrasting message appeared on social media. The message read, “There really is no smooth or easy way to share this news. After a lot of thought, we’ve made the decision to separate as a couple.”
