Watch Angel Reese Make Her First Layup In Atlanta Dream Jersey And Instantly Hyping Up

The Dallas Wings and Atlanta Dream matchup was another high-profile ‘rookie encounter’ featuring Paige Bueckers and Angel Reese. Both sides started off on a high note, entering the fixture with wins. The stars also had big games to start off their 2026 season, which showcased their ‘readiness’ for the title chase.

Ahead of the game, Bueckers praised Reese for her impact on the game, and the forward just showed why she deserved every word of it.

Angel Reese Wildly Celebrates Basket On Three Wings’ Defenders

Coach Smesko already hinted at the use of the former Chicago Sky forward as a ‘paint commander’ in games. The star recorded a double-double performance in her Atlanta Dream debut and continued her dominance against the Wings, too, with 12 points and 16 rebounds in the game.

On one play, Reese collected an offensive rebound, following Allisha Gray’s missed three-pointer. She muscled through the Dallas defense and scored over three defenders close to the basket. The Forward hit ‘Power’ and ‘too small’ celebrations on her way back to defense.

Since the game was at College Park Arena, home of the Dallas Wings, her actions earned a chorus of boos from the Dallas faithful in attendance. The forward, though, thoroughly enjoyed the crowd’s motion.

Interestingly, that’s not the only time Reese taunted the opposition with her gameplay. The player loved her team’s control over the game and hyped up nearly every basket she scored.

Angel Reese Enjoying Time With Atlanta Dream

When the Atlanta Dream traded for the former LSU star, Allisha Gray called her the missing piece for the Atlanta Dream side. So far, the player has remained true to that praise, winning games with her skill set. She blocked a possible game-winner against the Lynx, and against the Wings, she was the highlight of the team’s performance.

While the player wildly celebrated the basket over three defenders, she constantly threw similar celebrations with her baskets.

Atlanta now looks tougher, louder, and far more aggressive than last season. Reese’s nonstop energy appears to be spreading throughout the entire team. PB did mention the star’s impact beyond the stats sheet, and the player is enjoying every bit of it playing for the Dream team.
