The 2025 WNBA Championship might be the most iconic one for the Las Vegas Aces, with all the criticism and tantrums thrown at the team. Those criticisms became ‘encouraging words’ for the Las Vegas players in the title run as they swept the Mercury team in the finals. With the win, Chelsea Grey also set a record as the first player to win WNBA and Unrivaled championships in one calendar year.
But that’s not it, the player received special honor from her sneaker brand, Adidas, on the opening day of the 2026 season, which was also a surprise for the former Duke star.

Adidas Surprises Chelsea Gray With Special Edition PE
The Las Vegas Aces played their opening game at the T-Mobile Arena, hosting the Phoenix Mercury, their finals opponent. While the team got ready for the new season, they also received their championship rings for the 2025 title.
Ahead of the season, the league GMs voted the Aces’ playmaker as the top guard in the league. Fans might have reacted negatively to the Gray’s selection, but Adidas honored the decorated player with a special “Ring Ceremony” Crazy Energy Execution PE to celebrate her fourth WNBA championship.

Splitting the pair in half, adidas adds metallic gold to the left shoe and metallic silver to the right. The pair trades colors on the accents underneath the side panel vents, and both shoes share black on the lace panel and tongue, and an icy translucent outsole underfoot. It’s important to note that the Chelsea Gray adidas Crazy Energy Execution Ring Ceremony PE won’t be available for sale, making it even more unique.

Winning the third championship in the last four seasons, the Las Vegas Aces have already set themselves as the top team in the league. But the veteran guard is not happy with the same and fired a warning to the opponents in her interview.
Chelsea Gray Fires Warning For League Opponents
With the 2025 core returning for the 2026 season, the Las Vegas Aces are already one of the top five teams in the season. Although every team improved its roster, the Aces remain one of the contenders for the championship, and the 33-year-old star sent a warning to all those opponents.
“We’re chasing something that hasn’t been done before. I don’t think anybody’s ever went back-to-back twice in two different occasions. To do it with this group would be extremely special,” Gray said in the press conference.
