With just over 24 hours left for the 2026 season tip-off, it’s prediction time for everyone. Fans are not only backing their teams and favorite players to shine in the season, but also wonder whether the Las Vegas Aces will be able to defend their title. The franchise has a strong lineup around the core of A’ja Wilson, Chelsea Grey, and Jackie Young.
Amid this, the GMs also put forward their views and voted for the best in the 2026 season. When the results were out, fans strongly opposed the choice of the best point guard in the WNBA.

Fans React To Chelsea Gray’s Best Point Guard Honor
Most of the teams looked to strengthen their core with at least one point guard who would have an impact on the game. While every franchise has a guard controlling their games, the GMs recently voted for the Best point guard in the league.
As per the survey, Paige Bueckers gets 4% GM’s support, while Caitlin Clark earned 20% votes. The ultimate winner and the best point guard honor went to the Aces’ Chelsea Gray with a massive 73% support from GMs.

Ironically, just one season ago, Clark and the veteran guard received equal votes. Fans reacted to the GMs’ voting, showing their disagreement with it.

While the player already achieved so much in the league with a number of accolades in her resume, both at the league and international level. Gray is also the first player to win the Unrivaled championship and WNBA championship in a single calendar year. She is even closer to making history in the WNBA as she sent a strong warning to the challengers.
Chelsea Gray Fires Warning For Opponents
The Las Vegas Aces won three out of the last four titles and cemented themselves as one of the best teams in the modern WNBA era. While many teams upgraded themselves to challenge, the 2025 champions, the guard already have a special message for them.
“We’re chasing something that hasn’t been done before. I don’t think anybody’s ever went back-to-back twice in two different occasions,” Grey said in the press conference.
