The WNBA preseason already had much drama and surprises for fans, so they can’t wait for the regular season and on-court action to start. Players had been making news for their contracts, rumors, and also off-court activities ahead of the 2026 season. Kelsey Plum is not behind, who went viral for her embarrassing lack of tax knowledge after signing a $999,999 contract with the Los Angeles Sparks.
But that’s not it. The player lost her sneaker deal with Under Armour for her actions during the second season of the 3-on-3 League. But now, the player is making a quick recovery from her ‘mistakes’, and first of all, she hinted at a possible new sneaker deal with Under Armour rivals.

Kelsey Plum Appears In Anthony Edwards ’ Campaign
Two-time WNBA Champion had been one of the top marketable stars in the league, and after joining the Los Angeles franchise, her stock just went up. So when her partnership with Under Armour broke up, the player didn’t waste time locking in another sneaker brand – Adidas.
The veteran guard made an appearance in the promo for Anthony Edwards’ Adidas campaign to promote Edwards 2. Adidas released a promo for Edwards’ signature sneaker, the Believe That 1. At the end, it also featured the surprise announcement of Plum.

Interestingly, that’s not the only brand KP signed with during the off-season. Plum became the first female pro athlete to launch an AI digital twin that fans can voice call, showing her interest in tech products too. Also, in the food industry, the Olympian partnered with the Kentucky Bourbon brand.
Kelsey Plum Adds Iconic Bourbon Brand To Her Profile
Maker’s Mark, the iconic Kentucky bourbon, announced a collaboration with the WNBA All-Star and created a custom Private Selection bourbon. As per the statement, the flavor gets inspiration from the guard’s relentless pursuit of excellence and unapologetically bold approach to her craft. Launching just ahead of the 2026 WNBA season, Yam Jam by Kelsey Plum will be available beginning May 7 at select retailers in Los Angeles.
“Working with Maker’s Mark to create my own bourbon gave me a chance to take the same approach I bring to the court—thoughtful, precise and intentional—and craft an expression that truly reflects who I am. I’ve always admired Maker’s Mark for their dedication to taking the time to achieve their exact vision. With Yam Jam, I wanted something bold and distinctive, with warmth and balance, meant to be enjoyed with family and friends, just as their founders intended with Maker’s Mark,” Plum said.
Last year, WNBA All-Star and Olympic gold medalist Kelsey Plum traveled to Star Hill Farm to participate in the Maker’s Mark Private Selection program, the distillery’s custom blending and finishing offering. The result of that visit is Yam Jam: https://t.co/mWwC63AAyq pic.twitter.com/rxbArmUAOu
