The WNBA welcomed the top 45 rookies from the draft class, and everyone started speaking about the massive contracts the rookies received in the first year. While that was just the beginning for the athlete, Olivia Miles signed a contract with Unrivaled even before becoming a pro, which highlights the demand for star players. Lauren Betts is also not far behind.
As per reports, the player signed an endorsement deal with Reebok, making her the fifth player to join the shoe giants along with Angel Reese, Lexi Morrow, Aneesah Morrow and DiJonai Carrington.

Lauren Betts Lands Reebok Deal
The UCLA program created history with the most player selections in the first round of the WNBA. While their Most Outstanding Player winner was the top pick from the lot, she also has another major accomplishment in the league, signing a multi-year deal with Reebok.
“We would like to welcome Lauren Betts to the Reebok Basketball family,” Reebok wrote on Instagram. “The highly decorated 6’7″ All-American centre is fresh off a national championship, where she earned accolades for her play. As the No. 4 pick in this year’s WNBA Draft, she is a dominant interior presence, poised to bring that same impact to the pro game.”

Signing with the Reebok brand, the UCLA star joins Angel Reese, another megastar who made a name for herself as a rebounding queen. Though the duo will have some exciting matchups under the rim in the coming seasons, there was one infamous incident that left the Dream forward bloodied under the rim.
Flashback Of Lauren Betts Leaving Angel Reese Bloodied
Right after winning the 2023 championships, Reese was one of the top forwards in the NCA level basketball, while Betts was still in her Junior year and slowly becoming a prominent figure in the tournament. During the LSU vs UCLA game in the Sweet 16.
Close to the end of the first quarter, with the score at 15-15, a former Tigers star fought with Betts and came down without the ball. During that tussle, Betts’ elbow hit Reese’s nose, leaving blood all over her jersey. There was no foul call, and at the end of the game, LSU had the last laugh, winning the game 78-69 with Reese recording 16 points and 11 rebounds in the victory.
Being professionals, the incident won’t affect their off-court relationship, though fans might see similar ‘fights’ now at the WNBA level.
