Fans are ready for the 2026 season, with most of the activities nearly completed. After training camp, teams like the Golden State Valkyries finalize their roster with the player cuts. Other teams are also in the process of doing similar activities, confirming their 2026 roster. Amid this, there are still many high-profile free agents in the market, and the biggest name among them is Natasha Cloud.
There were rumors around Cloud getting blackballed, as the player still remained unsigned. Former Lynx guard Natisha Hiedeman was furious with this treatment and gave her view on the topic.

Natisha Heideman Backs Free Agent Natasha Cloud
The free agency market saw multiple player movements that impacted the team’s chances in the 2026 season. As for Liberty, the side chose to keep its core intact and added Satou Sabally to the lineup instead of recalling the guard Cloud. This kept the player available in the market.
Discussing the same with Courtney Williams, the Storm guard lashed out at the franchise. “You know that it ain’t got nothing to do with their basketball ability. It gotta be because of the other s—. Because you can never question how good of a basketball player Cloud is,” Heideman said.

Cloud spent 10 seasons in the WNBA and won a championship with the Mystics. She averaged nine points, five assists, and three rebounds in her career, with the guard putting up double-digit numbers in the last four seasons. There is no question, as Hiedeman said, about the player’s quality and usability in the league.

But, with the current situation, there are chances that the Cloud will remain unsigned for the season, with multiple factors affecting the decision. The player herself, though, took a ‘silent’ stance on the situation.
Natasha Cloud Stays Silent On Her Situation
Otherwise very vocal on various subjects, the Liberty guard is silent on her free agency decision. There are no offers yet on the table, and the player mentioned that she will talk about it later. But she did make a heartfelt plea showing her frustration.
“I have yet to speak. That’s intentional & my power. I’ve just worked. I’ve just worked. No sulking, no whining. Work. & I will continue to work as I always have. Proving myself right year, after year, after year. (11) to be exact. I know who I am. I know my value/worth. & ain’t nothing traditional,” Cloud Wrote.
